Had a late b-day bbq party today w/family. Lots of yummy food and fun time.

sure glad you royals got to eat AGAIN; don't suppose there's any cake scraps for the serfs, is there? I mean, we be a lot whose tongues don't know any other position than 'hanging', ya know? I won't even ask if I need to double the Godiva order this month...

:!:  :o

btw; nice lil daisies! Reminds me I have to transplant some from the back, BACK to the front where they originally came from; for some reason, lost almost all of them in the plot of ground around the pondhouse this year. Just one is alive and blooming, but they spread so easily, had to yank and put in the back of the property a few years ago; THEY'RE doing great. Glad I did as now I have a renewable source!
Sorry only one piece of cake left and I have dibs on it already for after din din and also Extreme Chocolate Moosetracks Ice cream to go w/it! Triple that Godiva order Kingy Boy! One can never have enough chocolate ya know!

I love the Daisies also. The first set popped up in Spring and then they died down and then now the 2nd batch is a'risin! They can spread all over the place, I don't mind at all! Got some flowers in vases too for the b-day and I'm gonna save the seeds off the Coneflower ones and plant them. Wonder if I need to wait till next Spring to do that? Also got a new glass blown hummer feeder which I just filled and a cute little bird house. Not sure if the birds will use it tho. Birds are kinda picky.

Image I'm on my lunch break!
I'm sitting here admiring this beautiful day, feeling the need to express gratitude for the many blessing I've been receiving Image

Thinking of my vegetable garden that a few months ago was still just a dream, and now has been producing full force for a while
even the melons did ok though they grew fine for a bit then appeared to be froze in time, all the ones that were on the plants reached maturity, were super tasty and enough of them to be shared with friends

hey lil queenie @j.w ; didcha check on that last hall Gemma mopped? I seem to recall I was on some sort of probation the first 90 days. Something about facing the 'iron ring of death' buried deep beneath your Annex, no? Seems she should at least be made aware of that, no?

 ;) :hysterical:  :!:

Hello Image where you guys at?

I really need to get in the plant pool and divide those water lilies but I don't want to disturb them while they're still blooming
I want to prepare them for next year before the water gets too cold for me to be in it, I figure I can tie the pieces I cut out to a rock and sink them for the winter and rehome them next Spring...what do you think is it a good plan?

Right now I'm busy collecting seeds for next year...anyone else go seed harvesting?

well, my method is to lift the pots out using my 'hook' and catching the plastic lines I have tied to it, then cutting off the leaves, repotting/dividing if necessary, putting Osmocote on the bottom of the pot, put them back, sink them for next spring. So, doesn't really matter re water temp as everything is 'out of water'. This way, I can let any flowers bloom until the very end and not worry. I like to do all this in the fall when I'm cleaning up so in the spring, there's not much to do (other than take down my winter tent!). Water will be almost as cold in the spring as it is in November.

and no, I don't usually harvest any seeds. I figure I have enough already and will be giving away some white ones, so...

I too like to do most of the cleaning in the Fall...so much easier and less debris in the water all winter long

The seeds I'm harvesting are from all veggies and annual flowers (zinnias, marigolds etc)
