Don't know about everyone else but I've been out watering like mad as we are going to get heat struck again soon! Gotta do more tomorrow. Big ole frog sitting under my dripping water faucet.
He looked happy

Re: Watcha doing today?
me and mrsbrokensword (she took the day off) had a 'pond day' since yesterday was so overcast (and we headed up to Frankenmuth to wander around Bronner's for the day!). But, we SEES ya, Gemma!! Been a bit slower lately, so nice when others come on by and set a spell!

Re: Watcha doing today?
So far today I picked up a bunch of tomatoes, onions and herbs from the garden, cooked it into tomato sauce and canned my very first jars
Very long process but hey if it comes out good it was all worth it and I'm happy!
Tomorrow I plan on going in the garden and pick all bunch of different veggies so I can make vegetable soup and can that too
I'm just starting out with this canning thingy, anyone on here preserves their own food?

yeppa! Don't like battling crowds and once fall hits, you KNOW the place will be a zoo....Gemma wrote: ↑Tue Aug 16, 2022 4:06 pmBronner's the Christmas all year store?brokensword wrote: ↑Tue Aug 16, 2022 2:54 amme and mrsbrokensword (she took the day off) had a 'pond day' since yesterday was so overcast (and we headed up to Frankenmuth to wander around Bronner's for the day!). Easy to walk around and enjoy the various trinkets et al. Twas cloudy out, so indoors was just right.

Re: Watcha doing today?
How much room/space/jars have you provided for, esp come the fall harvest? LONG long ago, my mom canned stuff. Pretty good idea if any of the 'food shortage' rumors start coming true!!Gemma wrote: ↑Tue Aug 16, 2022 4:15 pm So far today I picked up a bunch of tomatoes, onions and herbs from the garden, cooked it into tomato sauce and canned my very first jars

Re: Watcha doing today?
Yep we need a royal farmer here at the kingdom for sure! I'm sure @Gemma did a taste test before she canned up all those batches of sauce and soup.brokensword wrote: ↑Tue Aug 16, 2022 8:53 pmHow much room/space/jars have you provided for, esp come the fall harvest? I see the kingy boy and his better half are committing sacrilegious acts of participating in out of season Christmas shopping.
This will be noted on your report cards and fines will be deducted from your already dwindling pay checks for all that you don't get done anyways
