I took some more ugly pics of my beautiful koi I might post somewhere on here
Yikes! Hope yours doesn't last as long as mine did (about 3 weeks, with a fourth still coughing a bit)! Take care and make sure you're getting the appropriate TLC, hey? SOMEONE should be waiting on you hand and foot!!

is your phone waterproof? Could just put out some food and hold the phone underwater for a few minutes; there, instant un-ugly pics of your koi!!!

just puts a new perspective on the hobby and imo, interesting for sure! That's why I spent a ton of time fixing the diy wp cam housing!

it IS different seeing them from the side, like in an aquarium. But I like seing even just plain goldfish this way, too. You get an approximation when looking from the top and you'll notice with koi, they ALWAYS show/sell you koi from that camera angle. May have to tap into the CAstle funds to get you a wp phone or cam; I think you'd have fun taking UW pics, too! I think one of my new pet projects is going to be promoting pond video! In and out of the water!

No cam for me, sorry, my fish are not pretty, just bright orange beasts and some have lumps on them
They are my wet pets and I love them so don't get me wrong, just not photogenic!

She does all video's so just turns it on and leaves it down there awhile and then drags it up.
You could tie a rope to it also and move it around slowly to see the spots you want to in the pond.
I wonder if my hubby would allow me to do a test w/his cellphone as I don't have one.
I am betting he won't
