Re: Gemma's Pond
Finally the first water lily bloomed. I have a pink and a yellow lily, I would like to add one more but I don't know what Colori would like a bright one that bloom a lot https://i.imgur.com/NxZdG2n.jpg https://i.imgur.com/2krmwT0.jpg is it difficult to get that mesh screen off when you need to? Loo...

Re: Gemma's Pond
I had a peach one that I got from addy but I don't have them anymore. I gave all my water lilies away as they became too hard for me to drag out and divide. Here is what it looked like. You could ask her if she still have that kind and she might send you some tubers when she divided hers or you mig...

Re: first water lily, spider lily on steriods, Lucy, overviews, wisteria
Beautiful pictures and pond! Your spider lilies are doing great. I think mine got hit by the last cold snap after we had uncovered the pond and they aren't doing anything. They are usually slower than other plants, but this seems unusually slow. Love the wisteria, too. thanks, @WetWork ; very happy...

Re: Watcha doing today?

raising fry
Anyone ever try this? I've let nature take it's course and some fry make it to adulthood. Thinking of getting koi and perhaps breeding but not sure I want to sell/re-home those I don't keep. Any experienced fish breeders out there?

neighbor is a newbie
I have a neighbor I'd put in the 'just starting out' category. I think he's had his pond for a few years but still does a lot of things new ponders do. What should I say when he balks at not cleaning the pond every spring? I've already mentioned to him about the spring startup beneficial bacteria bu...

FB ponders
Reading on Facebook shows me a different kind of ponder, or so it seems to me. Anyone else notice this? There's especially a drive toward using lots of different pond chemicals. I know most around here don't promote their use and I'm glad to be in the same category!
